We're working with a leading civils contractor who have secured a major 132k V substation project in the Glasgow area and is looking to appoint an experienced Project Manager to take full responsibility for the delivery of the civils package.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established business with a strong pipeline of work across the power and energy sector.
The Role
You’ll lead the delivery of all civil engineering works associated with the construction of a new 132k V substation, ensuring the project is delivered safely, on programme, within budget and to the highest quality standards.
Typical works will include
- Earthworks and site preparation
- Reinforced concrete foundations
- Cable ducts and trenches
- Drainage and roads
- Security fencing and hardstanding
- Coordination with the electrical contractor and client teams
Requirements
- Proven experience delivering civil engineering projects as a Project Manager.
- Previous experience on substation, power, transmission & distribution, energy or utilities projects is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of NEC contracts, programme management and commercial awareness.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid as a minimum.
- Civil Engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree) preferred.
