About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of power infrastructure projects across Scotland. This role will involve working on a range of power projects, including substations, overhead lines, cabling, and associated civil works. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards, supporting the Site Agent and wider project team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Site Agent in the planning, coordination, and delivery of power projects
  • Supervise site activities, subcontractors, and operatives
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
  • Monitor progress against programme and report on site performance
  • Support the preparation of RAMS, permits, and site documentation
  • Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders as required
  • Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement on site

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Sub Agent or Section Engineer within power, utilities, or civil engineering projects
  • Good understanding of power infrastructure works and site processes
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site compliance
  • Ability to work away from home when required
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • SMSTS (or SSSTS working towards SMSTS)
  • CSCS card (essential)
  • Full UK driving licence
