About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Sub Agent to support the delivery of power infrastructure projects across Scotland. This role will involve working on a range of power projects, including substations, overhead lines, cabling, and associated civil works. You will play a key role in ensuring works are delivered safely, on programme, and to the required quality standards, supporting the Site Agent and wider project team.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist the Site Agent in the planning, coordination, and delivery of power projects
- Supervise site activities, subcontractors, and operatives
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Monitor progress against programme and report on site performance
- Support the preparation of RAMS, permits, and site documentation
- Liaise with clients, engineers, and stakeholders as required
- Contribute to problem-solving and continuous improvement on site
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Sub Agent or Section Engineer within power, utilities, or civil engineering projects
- Good understanding of power infrastructure works and site processes
- Strong knowledge of health and safety legislation and site compliance
- Ability to work away from home when required
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- SMSTS (or SSSTS working towards SMSTS)
- CSCS card (essential)
- Full UK driving licence
