We are working with a growing and well-established civils & groundworks contractor who are looking to bring in a Setting Out Engineer to support the delivery of groundworks packages on large-scale building projects. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop their engineering career, whether you’re stepping up from a junior role or already have some experience on site and want to progress further.

You’ll be working closely with experienced engineers and site teams, gaining hands-on experience across a range of groundworks packages. Key responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting with and carrying out setting out for groundworks and external works
  • Supporting site teams with daily engineering requirements
  • Reading and interpreting drawings and specifications
  • Carrying out as-built surveys and QA checks
  • Ensuring works are delivered in line with design and programme
  • Liaising with site management, subcontractors, and suppliers

Project Scope:

  • Foundations
  • Drainage and services
  • Roads, kerbing, and hard landscaping
  • External works packages on major construction developments
