About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee and deliver a major joinery package on a high-profile construction project in Edinburgh City Centre. Working with a well-established joinery subcontractor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the joinery package from pre-construction through to completion
  • Coordinate site activities, labour, and subcontractors
  • Liaise with the main contractor, design teams, and stakeholders
  • Monitor project progress, programme, and budgets
  • Ensure all works meet health & safety regulations and quality standards
  • Manage procurement of materials and oversee supply chain performance
  • Attend and lead site meetings, reporting on progress and resolving issues
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
  • Strong background in joinery or interior fit-out packages
  • Experience working as a subcontractor on large-scale projects
  • Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
  • SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification (preferred)
  • Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office
