About the Role: We are seeking an experienced Freelance Project Manager to oversee and deliver a major joinery package on a high-profile construction project in Edinburgh City Centre. Working with a well-established joinery subcontractor, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of the project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the joinery package from pre-construction through to completion
- Coordinate site activities, labour, and subcontractors
- Liaise with the main contractor, design teams, and stakeholders
- Monitor project progress, programme, and budgets
- Ensure all works meet health & safety regulations and quality standards
- Manage procurement of materials and oversee supply chain performance
- Attend and lead site meetings, reporting on progress and resolving issues
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within the construction industry
- Strong background in joinery or interior fit-out packages
- Experience working as a subcontractor on large-scale projects
- Excellent organisational, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and tight deadlines
- SMSTS, CSCS Card, and First Aid certification (preferred)
- Proficient in project management software and Microsoft Office
