We are currently seeking an experienced Freelance Civils Project Manager to support the delivery of a live substation extension project based in North Ayrshire.
Key Responsibilities
- Overseeing day-to-day project delivery on a live substation environment
- Managing subcontractors, site teams, and programme performance
- Ensuring works are delivered safely, on time, and within budget
- Coordinating civils and power-related activities across the project
- Liaising with client representatives, stakeholders, and supply chain partners
- Driving quality, compliance, and HSEQ standards throughout delivery
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Project Manager within civils and/or power infrastructure projects
- Strong understanding of substation or utility environments
- Civils and power sector experience highly desirable
- Experience working on live operational sites preferred
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Valid SMSTS and CSCS certifications preferred
Desirable
- Existing SPEN authorisations would be highly advantageous, although not essential
