First Task Professional is delighted to be recruiting on behalf of a leading contractor delivering complex projects across a secure, high-profile environment. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Contracts Manager to take ownership of a diverse portfolio of construction and engineering projects, leading multidisciplinary teams to successfully deliver works from initial concept through to completion. You'll play a key role in programme planning, stakeholder management, budget control and project delivery, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and customer service.
The Role
- Lead the delivery of a programme of construction and infrastructure projects.
- Manage project teams, Works Managers and delivery staff across multiple live projects.
- Develop and maintain project programmes, resource plans and risk registers.
- Oversee project budgets, forecasting and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, health & safety legislation and statutory requirements.
- Build strong relationships with clients, contractors and key stakeholders.
- Monitor project performance, reporting against milestones, programme and cost.
- Support the development of future works programmes and continuous improvement initiatives.
We're looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- Proven experience managing multiple construction or infrastructure projects.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Experience delivering projects throughout the full project lifecycle.
- Excellent stakeholder and client management abilities.
- Sound knowledge of CDM Regulations and construction health & safety.
- A recognised Project Management qualification (HNC, NVQ Level 4, PRINCE2, APMP or equivalent).
- Experience managing budgets, programmes and contractor performance.
- Excellent organisational, communication and IT skills.
