Perform short order cook duties. Set up, stock work and clean cook station. Responsible for the daily operations of the hot line and general kitchen cleaning duties. Work as a member of team to provide exemplary customer service. Communicate professionally and respectfully. Maintain an organized, sanitary and safe work space.

Requirements

  • Minimum two years of prep or line cook experience.
  • Excellent attendance and punctuality required; schedule flexibility determined by business needs.
  • Able to follow directions.
  • Take responsibility for duties assigned and complete them with accuracy.
  • Commitment to quality service.
  • Basic knowledge of food and beverage service.
  • Basic understanding of professional cooking and knife handling skills.
  • Understanding and knowledge of safety, sanitation and food handling procedures.
  • Must be able to speak, read and understand basic cooking directions.
  • Must be able to hear with 100% accuracy.
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.

Working Conditions

  • This position will spend 90-100% of the time standing.
  • Requires flexibility in a changing environment.
  • The individual must be able to transport up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 70 pounds on occasion.
  • Occasional environmental exposures to cold, heat, and water.
  • Must be able to regularly stand, walk, lift, carry, push, pull, climb, bend, and perform other general duties to fulfill the requirements of the position.

Work Schedule

As a non-exempt hourly employee, the employee shall work a designated schedule as assigned by management. Employee shall not work over 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week without prior authorization from management but if so, will earn overtime for any work performed in excess of 8 hours per day or 40 hours per week. Employee must also follow company’s policies regarding required meals and breaks.
