We are seeking a dedicated and passionate qualified level 2 or 3 Nursery Practitioner to join our team. We have 2 branches (WN7 3UQ and WA3 2RD) with positions available at both. The ideal candidate will be committed to providing high-quality childcare and early childhood education in a nurturing environment. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with experience working with children and a strong interest in child development. The Nursery Practitioner will play a vital role in supporting children's learning, development, and well-being, ensuring a safe and stimulating environment for all children in our care.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging activities that promote children's developmental milestones in line with early childhood education standards.
- Supervise and support children's daily routines, including play, meals, rest, and hygiene.
- Foster a safe, inclusive, and welcoming environment that encourages children's curiosity and independence.
- Observe and record children's progress, sharing insights with parents and colleagues to support individual learning plans.
- Maintain a clean, organised, and child-friendly nursery setting in accordance with health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to develop programmes that meet the needs of all children.
- Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child's development and daily activities.
- Assist with administrative tasks related to childcare records and compliance documentation.
- Support the management team in implementing nursery policies and procedures.
Skills
- Proven experience working with children within a nursery or early years setting.
- Strong management and leadership abilities to guide both children and team members effectively.
- Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and written - GCSE grade 4 or above.
- Knowledge of child development principles and early childhood education practices.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team while demonstrating initiative.
- Organised with the ability to plan activities that cater to diverse needs of children.
- Valid driving licence is desirable for transporting children or supplies when necessary.
- Passionate about childcare, nurturing, and fostering positive learning experiences for young children.
It is essential that the successful candidate have a qualification which is classed as full and relevant for working in an early years setting as per the Government list.
