Location: Stoneycroft Family Hub, Yew Tree & West Derby Children Centre

Salary: £25,185 pro-rata (£13.80 per hour)

Hours: 17.5 hours per week (9:00am - 5pm over 2.5 days)

Contract: Fixed term approximately for 6 months depending on funding

About the Role: Make a difference in your community. We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Community Engagement Worker to support families and help children get the best start in life. This role supports children's development and school readiness, connecting with families in disadvantaged areas, delivering vital information and guidance on child health, development and access to local services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Engage with families registered at the Children's Centre
  • Conduct home visits and community outreach
  • Share information on child health, development, and school readiness
  • Signpost families to services and resources
  • Build trusting, supportive relationships with families

About You:

  • A Level 2 qualification in Early Years or above
  • Good knowledge of the local Liverpool community
  • Motivation, empathy and strong communication skills
  • A full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle (mileage reimbursed)
  • An enhanced DBS check (required)

Contract Details: 17.5 hours per week over 2.5 days (not Fridays). Working hours: 9:00am - 5pm (with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch break).
