The Position
We are seeking an experienced and enthusiastic PE & School Sport Coach to work with our partner primary schools, delivering PE lessons and a broad curriculum of sport to the same groups of children each term. This role suits a confident, adaptable coach who can act as a positive role model, plan effective lesson content, and track pupil progress over the academic year.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver PE lessons and a variety of sports to primary school aged pupils
- Plan and adapt schemes of work to meet pupil needs across the curriculum
- Assess and record pupil progress each term
- Be assertive, engaging and respected by pupils
- Demonstrate professionalism when working with school staff and parents
- Travel to various school sites across Hull, East Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire
- Carry out risk assessments for sessions and equipment
Knowledge and Experience Requirements:
- NGB Level 2 Coaching qualification or equivalent (minimum)
- Minimum two years' experience working in a sports sector or school environment
- Good knowledge of at least three areas of the PE curriculum (Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, OAA)
- Experience creating and following lesson plans and assessing pupil performance
- GCSE Maths and English
- First Aid and Child Protection training (training can be provided)
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own transport, as travel between sites is required
The recruitment process consists of three stages: a telephone interview, a practical assessment, and a face-to-face interview.
