We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Active Care Lead to oversee our After School Club, ensuring children receive the very best care in a safe, fun, and engaging environment. As the Lead, you will plan and deliver a variety of creative, play-based activities that inspire and entertain children aged 4–11 years. You will take responsibility for the smooth running of the club, maintaining high standards of care and compliance, and fostering positive relationships with parents, children, and school staff.

This role calls for someone who is creative and passionate about providing exceptional care. You will bring energy and imagination to every session, creating a safe and stimulating environment where children can learn, play, and thrive. We are looking for a leader who can inspire confidence in parents and excitement in children, while ensuring the smooth running of the after-school clubs. If you have childcare experience and a relevant qualification, and you love being creative and playful with children.

Hours: Monday – Friday, 3:15pm – 5:15pm (Term-time only)

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day operation of the After School Club.
  • Deliver an outstanding customer experience and act as the main point of contact for parents and carers.
  • Ensure the safeguarding and well-being of all children in your care.
  • Build strong relationships with parents, carers, and professionals to support every child’s development.
  • Manage queries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Promote the clubs within the school and local community.
  • Prepare and serve a light tea for children attending the Active Care sessions.

Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • Excellent organisation and time management skills.
  • Level 2/3 Childcare or Play work qualification (desirable).
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene (training can be provided).
  • Paediatric First Aid (training can be provided).
