We are searching for a dynamic and experienced PE Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead PE lessons for a variety of ages and demonstrate your expertise in sports coaching. We will provide ongoing training to enhance your skills and knowledge, while also relying on your experience to engage and inspire our students. The Company First Step Physical Education, part of the First Step Sports Group, are specialists in the planning, organisation, delivery, and assessment of Primary School PE, delivering quality PE and sports offerings to schools across Yorkshire and North Lincolnshire.
Responsibilities:- Deliver PE lessons and a variety of sports to primary school aged pupils.
- Be assertive and respected by pupils.
- Provide an exciting learning experience.
- Be versatile and committed to learning.
- Be reliable and flexible.
- Demonstrate professionalism to clients.
- Travel to various locations and settings.
- At least a NGB Level 2 Coaching Badge or equivalent.
- Minimum of two years' experience working in a sports sector or school environment delivering sports sessions.
- A good knowledge of at least three areas of the curriculum is essential (Games, Dance, Gymnastics, Athletics, OAA).
- Experience creating and following lesson plans.
- Experience assessing pupil performance.
- Knowledge and passion for a variety of sports/dance.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills.
- Risk Assessment experience.
- Experience working with a variety of ages.
- GCSE Maths and English.
- First Aid and Child Protection Training – desirable.
- Committed to continuous professional development.
- Willingness to undergo training is essential.
- A Level 2 Coaching Qualification is a mandatory requirement for this position.
- A driving licence and your own transport.
The recruitment process will consist of three stages: a telephone interview, a practical assessment, and a face-to-face interview.
