About the Role
First Bus is hiring Trainee Bus Drivers for our Yeovil depot. This full‑time permanent role offers 38 hours per week, with a mixture of morning, evening and weekend shifts. No prior driving experience is required; comprehensive training will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate buses safely and efficiently in line with company policies and passenger service standards.
- Work a variety of shifts across mornings, evenings and weekends, with plans made in advance to allow structure and flexibility, including weekday time off.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Proof of your Right to Work in the UK.
- Minimum of 18 years of age with a full UK driving licence.
- No more than six points on the licence.
- At least six months of driving experience.
- Flexibility to work on a rota/shift basis, including early mornings (starting 03:30hrs), late nights (finishing 02:00hrs) and weekends.
- Strong people‑skills; you must be approachable, courteous and able to interact with passengers effectively.
- Background checks will be conducted as part of the recruitment process.
