The EMEA & US Payroll & Benefits Consultant will support all payroll processes across UK, Ireland, France, Germany, Luxembourg and the US. This will involve supporting the EMEA Payroll Manager in partnering across the People and Culture and Finance Teams, and by using the HRIS to deliver payroll data to our Payroll providers to ensure seamless and accurate monthly payment of salary to approximately 400 employees.
In addition to the core responsibilities of the role, you will be an additional key point of contact for the vendors and support strong vendor management so that the providers deliver all elements of the payroll at service level and at the highest levels of quality assurance. You will work with the Payroll Manager to own the end-to-end quality assurance and governance process to ensure that we meet internal standards to effectively manage risk. In addition, you will support with the management of all regulatory requirements so that First Sentier Group meets its external obligations.

- Strong administrative and organisational skills and high level of attention to detail
- Strong IT skills particularly in relation to HR/Payroll systems and Microsoft office such as excel, word, adobe, outlook
- Expert knowledge of Payroll, Pension and HR processes and best practice
- Strong knowledge of payroll, pension, and tax regulations
- Experience of global mobility would be an advantage, but not essential
- Excellent numeracy and analytical skills
- Ability to build and maintain professional working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
- Excellent influencing and communication skills, including ability to adapt style where needed

Deliver accurate and timely payrolls for the EMEA & US Regions in line with standard operating procedures and controls, ensuring obligations within our Risk Management Framework are met. Keep up to date with payroll regulations, pension regulations, tax laws and any regional legal requirements, while working with payroll providers to ensure compliance and accuracy within each region. Be able to carry out manual calculations in line with First Sentier Group policy and payroll regulations (Pro rata salary, Gross to Net, SMP, Redundancy, Overpayments, etc).
Actively support Global Mobility and Remuneration processes to ensure accurate payment of employees particularly as incentives vest. You will work with the Payroll Manager in supporting business partners and the internal remuneration team to deliver clear direction on the requirements to be considered and met to ensure accurate delivery of remuneration pay.
Ownership of benefits administration to ensure all benefits administration is complete to required timelines. Key point of contact for administrative support related to employee benefits including reporting and auditing. Partners with the Shared services team to ensure all benefits administration is complete to required timelines.
Partner with internal stakeholders so that data is captured in payroll files, processed and are guided through quality assurance, governance processes, ensuring all data is reconciled each period. Partner with payroll providers to ensure they deliver process and outcomes to timeframes at the highest levels of quality, while continuing to review and monitor performance to ensure deliverables meet First Sentier Group requirements.
Deal with employee, internal and external stakeholder queries in relation to payroll, pension, and benefit administration in a timely and professional manner. Escalate any queries as appropriate. Be able to adapt to business demands for ad hoc tasks and any project related requirements.
