Role Description
The SIA Security Officer at First Secure is a full-time, on-site role based in Wisbech. The officer will be responsible for protecting people, property, and premises by carrying out regular patrols, monitoring access points, and controlling entry and exit. Daily tasks include checking identification, responding calmly and professionally to incidents, reporting security breaches, and maintaining accurate incident and shift logs. The role also involves working closely with clients and the public, delivering high standards of customer service, and liaising with emergency services when required. The Security Officer is expected to follow site-specific procedures, adhere to all relevant regulations, and support a safe, secure environment at all times.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess a valid SIA license in Security Guarding or Door Supervision, with additional SIA CCTV or related licenses beneficial.
- Candidates should possess skills in access control, patrolling, incident reporting, and basic risk assessment to maintain a safe and secure environment.
- Candidates should possess strong communication and customer service skills to interact professionally with clients, visitors, and colleagues.
- Candidates should possess the ability to remain calm under pressure, make sound decisions, and de-escalate challenging situations when needed.
- Candidates should possess basic IT and report-writing skills to complete logs, incident forms, and compliance documentation accurately.
- Relevant qualifications such as First Aid, Fire Marshall, Traffic Marshall, or health and safety training are highly beneficial.
- Previous experience in security, facilities, or a similar protective services role is preferred, along with a flexible approach to working hours, including evenings, nights, and weekends.
