If you are an ambitious and experienced Small Tools Fitter then we have the perfect opportunity for you to join our growing team at First Response.

You’ll be responsible for repairing, servicing, and testing a wide range of hire equipment; including electrical, diesel, and petrol-powered tools ensuring everything that leaves our depot is safe, reliable, and ready for our customers.

Based at our Rainham depot, this role is ideal for someone with hands-on technical skills who takes pride in delivering quality workmanship and supporting a busy hire operation.

Your responsibilities:

  • To service, repair & test a range of small tools
  • Conduct routine maintenance in line with manufacturers’ recommendations
  • Maintain compliance with all industry standards and safety regulation
  • Record service and inspection details accurately using our internal IT systems
  • Support colleagues with technical advice when required
  • Ensure a clean, safe, and organised workshop environment

Must haves:

  • Experience servicing & repairing electrical, diesel, and petrol-powered tools
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent time management & reliability
  • Good written and verbal communication abilities
  • IT literate
  • Ability to work independently and show initiative
  • A strong team ethic and positive attitude
  • Full UK Driving Licence (preferable)
