We have an excellent opportunity for a motivated and experienced Test & Run Technician / PAT Tester to join the growing team at First Response. As a Test & Run Technician you will use your technical expertise to inspect, test, and prepare a wide range of electrical small tools, ensuring they meet our high standards, before being added to our hire fleet. Working closely with our hire desk team, you will demonstrate strong communication skills and a willingness to provide support whenever required. As a Test & Run Technician you will have strong hands-on skills, a methodical and analytical approach, and take genuine pride in maintaining and testing equipment to a consistently high standard.

Your responsibilities
- Service, repair, and test a variety of tool hire equipment prior to going out on hire.
- Provide routine maintenance in line with manufacturers’ recommendations.
- Maintain compliance with all industry standards and safety regulations, including HSE.
- Accurately record service, inspection, and testing details using internal systems.
- Provide technical support and advice to colleagues when required.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and well-organised workshop environment.
- Be a valued member of the fitting team and wider First Response operation.
Must Haves
- Previous experience working as a Test & Run Technician or PAT Tester.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Excellent time management & reliability.
- Computer literacy for completing service records and system updates.
- Full UK Driving Licence (preferable).
- Ability to work independently and show initiative.
How we Reward you
Salary: £20 - £30k based on experience
