Our tool hire division in Rainham is seeking an experienced Hire Desk Controller with excellent customer service skills. This is a great opportunity for the successful applicant. You will be responsible for the efficient hire & procurement of equipment made by our customers. In this role you will also need to be able to handle damage reports, off-hire unwanted equipment and provide an excellent customer service no matter how busy you are. This is the perfect opportunity for an experienced Hire Controller to make your mark in our friendly team and grow with us. It is a busy but rewarding role where you will be in regular contact with your colleagues and our customers helping to ensure the efficient and timely delivery of a range of tools and access equipment. It is an important role within First Response and provides a great career opportunity.

Your Responsibilities

  • Taking and progressing hire orders
  • Making sure delivery promises are kept
  • Dealing with customer stock enquiries
  • Promptly off-hiring equipment on request
  • Keeping the database constantly updated
  • Identifying upselling opportunities
  • Working closely with the tool hire and site supplies teams
