FRG is actively seeking dedicated Relief Security Officers to become part of our team at one of our prestigious locations throughout England, with the aim of guaranteeing the safety and security of our premises and personnel. About the Role

  • Patrolling & Monitoring: Conduct regular internal and external patrols of the premises to identify and deter unauthorised access, damage, safety risks, or suspicious behaviour. Monitor CCTV systems and security equipment to ensure continuous site surveillance.
  • Access Control: Control and monitor all entry and exit points, verifying identification, issuing passes, and authorising visitors in accordance with site policies. Ensure all access procedures are strictly followed and escalate any breaches promptly.
  • Incident Response: Respond quickly and effectively to alarms, emergencies, and security incidents. Take appropriate action in line with established procedures, including liaising with emergency services and providing first response support where required.
  • Customer Service: Maintain a professional, vigilant, and approachable presence at all times. Provide clear directions, assistance, and support to visitors, employees, and contractors, ensuring a positive and secure environment.
  • Reporting & Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs, incident reports, and handover notes. Ensure all documentation meets compliance standards and supports effective communication between shifts.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Proactively identify potential hazards and unsafe practices, reporting issues in line with health and safety policies. Support the promotion of a safe working environment by adhering to all site regulations and procedures.
  • Emergency Preparedness: Assist in fire safety procedures, evacuation drills, and emergency planning. Act as a key point of contact during emergencies, ensuring orderly and safe evacuation when necessary.
  • Asset Protection: Safeguard company property, assets, and personnel by maintaining vigilance and enforcing security procedures to prevent theft, loss, or damage.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues, management, and external agencies to maintain high security standards and ensure effective communication across all operations.

Requirements

  • Skills & Competencies: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, strong attention to detail and observational ability, ability to remain calm and professional under pressure, reliable and trustworthy with a flexible approach to working hours, ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Qualifications: Valid SIA licence, Driving Licence, 5-year checkable work or education history, willingness to work a variety of shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
