We are very pleased to be working alongside our specialist and friendly client as they seek to expand their team at their busy site in Uckfield. This is a full-time permanent role - Monday to Friday. Fully site/office based role. Salary £32,000-£35,000 plus very good all-round company benefits, including pension, long-term career progression/pathway, mentorship along with strong training and development opportunities. The role involves maintaining food safety, quality standards and regulatory compliance whilst being supported by an experienced senior technical team. As QA & Technical Coordinator, you will be responsible for supporting and maintaining quality management systems, technical compliance processes and food safety standards across the business. This is a hands-on role that combines factory-floor quality activities with technical administration, audit preparation and customer support. You will work closely with senior management and technical specialists who will help develop your skills whilst providing a clear pathway for future career progression.

Duties will include:

  • Conduct routine quality inspections and site checks
  • Maintain quality records, documentation and compliance data
  • Support internal and external audits, including BRCGS audits
  • Monitor CCPs and ensure HACCP procedures are followed
  • Investigate non-conformances and support corrective actions
  • Manage customer and supplier specifications
  • Assist with product compliance and labelling requirements

Customer & Business Support:

  • Respond to customer technical enquiries professionally
  • Co-ordinate development samples and customer projects
  • Maintain CRM and customer information systems
  • Build strong working relationships with customers, suppliers and internal teams

Experience, competencies and knowledge required:

  • Experience within food manufacturing or food ingredients
  • Understanding of HACCP, food safety and quality systems
  • Ideally have knowledge of BRCGS standards
  • Audit experience or involvement in audit preparation
  • Strong organisational and administration skills, along with excellent accuracy levels
  • Good communication and customer service skills
  • Confidence working both in the factory and office environment
  • Local to the Uckfield area or a realistic daily commute
