The role

– Quantity Surveyor

My client are the UK’s class-leading supplier of fire detection and fire protection systems.

They design, install, and maintain all types of automatically operating fire extinguishing systems and electronically activated fire detection and alarm systems for large projects through to servicing small standalone products. They currently have over 200 employees and have offices throughout the UK

Duties will include:

  • Provide commercial assistance to the project teams
  • Tender stage terms and conditions review
  • Monthly progress valuations of projects
  • Timely and accurate variations submissions
  • Attention to site progress and any delay events
  • Mentor junior team members
  • Attending site visits and client meetings
  • Experience, competencies and knowledge required

  • Previous experience within fire protection sector or construction services industry is highly desirable
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
  • Knowledge of construction management principles and practices
  • Full clean driving licence
