Production Operative

A well-established company in the education supplies industry is looking for a Book Binder/ Print Finisher to join its team. As a Book Binder you will be operating and maintaining paper‑conversion machinery while ensuring quality, safety, and smooth workflow throughout the production process. Book Binder responsibilities: * Operate and set up machinery used for paper conversion. * Keep equipment running efficiently throughout the shift. * Carry out routine maintenance tasks as outlined in the planned schedule. * Maintain a clean and organised working area. * Perform regular quality inspections to ensure standards are met. * Follow instructions carefully to complete each task to the required level. * Comply with all Health & Safety guidelines and company procedures at all times. Skills & experience required: * Experience in a similar environment is beneficial but not essential. * Able to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with colleagues. * Strong attendance record and reliable timekeeping. * Good understanding of paper dimensions and strong accuracy levels. * Practical thinker with solid problem‑solving skills and a good general education. * Self‑motivated and confident working independently with minimal supervision. * Comfortable with manual handling and physically demanding tasks. * Must have dependable transport to and from work.
