We are very pleased to be working alongside our highly reputable educational sector client as they seek to recruit a Nursery Deputy Room Leader to join them on a permanent basis in November 2026. The workplace is based around 7 miles north of Haywards Heath.

Part Time permanent role - Term time only. Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 8am-5pm and Wednesday 8am-5pm. 26 hours per week during term time only. Salary - Β£15,125 per year for 26 hours per week term time only. The job holder will need to drive and have their own transport due to the rural workplace location. Role is subject to successful DBS screening.

Duties and responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the effective day-to-day running of the nursery room
  • Helping to create engaging learning experiences
  • Ensuring the highest standards of care and education for young children
  • Working closely with the Room Leader and wider Early Years team
  • Providing a safe, stimulating and inspiring environment where children can flourish
  • Supporting the After-School Provision
  • Occasional holiday childcare cover (approximately 10 days across the year)

Experience, skills and competencies required:

  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (or above)
  • Previous nursery or early years experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Passion for supporting children's development and wellbeing
  • Flexible, proactive and team-focused approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare standards
