We’re looking for a Supplier Quality Engineer to join an established, international manufacturing company at their site in Newhaven. As the Supplier Quality Engineer you’ll lead all supplier quality initiatives and drive continuous improvement.
Job duties for the Supplier Quality Engineer include:
- Leading supplier quality management such as evaluation, audits, selection and performance monitoring
- Developing and implementing quality strategies
- Driving continuous improvement with suppliers using root cause analysis and other quality tools
- Analysing supplier quality data to recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Support New Product Introductions to ensure suppliers meet quality requirements
- Maintain compliance with relevant industry standards (e.g., ISO) and internal quality systems
- Lead supplier quality inspections
Skills & experience required:
- Degree educated (or equivalent) in engineering
- A strong level of experience as a Supplier Quality Engineer in manufacturing or engineering
- Hold relevant quality certifications such as CQE, CQM, Six Sigma OR similar
- Experience with supplier management systems and knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies
Salary, hours and company benefits:
- Up to £45,000 based on experience and qualifications
- Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm fully site based in Newhaven
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays
