We are currently recruiting for an experienced Vehicle Technician MOT Tester to join a friendly, professional and busy automotive service centre. You will be working in a modern workshop environment, equipped with the latest diagnostic technology, tools and manufacturer-approved processes. This role involves the diagnosis, repair, servicing and MOT testing of vehicles, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard and in line with manufacturer guidelines.
MOT Tester responsibilities:
- Carry out diagnostic and investigative work to identify and rectify faults
- Complete servicing to manufacturer standards
- Conduct full vehicle inspections to identify non-routine defects
- Carry out Electronic Vehicle Health Checks (EVHCs) and Video Health Checks
- Road test vehicles for diagnostic purposes and post-repair checks
- Liaise closely with Service Advisors, keeping them informed of job progress
- Discuss technical issues with customers where required
- Obtain appropriate authorisation prior to completing additional work
- Maintain a high level of technical knowledge through ongoing training
Skills experience required:
- Level 3 Vehicle Maintenance Repair qualification
- Valid MOT Licence
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Vehicle Technician
