We are very pleased to be working alongside our friendly and welcoming medical based client as they seek to recruit a HR and Payroll Administrator for their team in the Heathfield area. This is a full-time permanent role - Monday to Friday. Office based role. Salary £32,000 - £34,000 plus good all round company benefits. This is a great opportunity to join a friendly, caring and non-corporate organisation.

The role involves:

  • HR Administration
    • Prepare contracts of employment, offer letters and other HR documentation
    • Maintain accurate employee records and personnel files
    • Manage the HR inbox and respond to employee queries
    • Support recruitment and onboarding activities
  • Payroll Administration
    • Lead the monthly payroll process, ensuring accuracy and compliance
    • Prepare and submit payroll data within agreed timescales
    • Liaise with payroll providers and resolve payroll queries efficiently
  • HR Systems & Reporting
    • Maintain and update HR systems and employee data
    • Produce HR reports and insights using Excel and other reporting tools
    • Support data analysis to inform HR decision-making
  • Employee Relations & Compliance
    • Assist with absence management processes
    • Support disciplinary, grievance and other employee relations matters
    • Ensure HR practices comply with current employment legislation and company policies
  • Projects & Continuous Improvement
    • Contribute to HR projects and policy development
    • Support continuous improvement initiatives across the HR function

Experience, skills and competencies required:

  • Minimum CIPD Level 3 qualified
  • Previous HR administration experience
  • Experience administering payroll and resolving payroll queries
  • Strong IT skills, including Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage priorities effectively
  • Professional, approachable and pro-active attitude
