We are very pleased to be working alongside our small, busy, friendly and highly reputable client as they seek to expand their team within their office in East Grinstead. Full time permanent role - Monday - Friday. Office based role until successful completion of probationary period. 1 day per week working from home is available once probation has been passed. Salary £38000-£45000 plus good all round company benefits, including good pension scheme and 25 days holiday plus all UK bank holidays. The role involves managing and developing a portfolio of commercial clients, delivering exceptional service whilst supporting business growth and client retention. This is a great opportunity for an insurance professional with strong relationship management skills, a solid understanding of commercial insurance products, and a passion for providing clients with expert advice.
Duties and responsibilities include:
- Managing a portfolio of commercial insurance clients
- Preparing and processing renewal reviews, including re-broking where appropriate
- Achieving strong client retention and renewal outcomes
- Identifying and securing new business opportunities
- Preparing accurate insurer presentations and obtaining competitive terms
- Handling mid-term adjustments and policy amendments
- Reviewing policy documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance
- Providing technical insurance advice and recommending appropriate cover solutions
- Managing and supporting claims through to resolution
- Maintaining accurate records on internal systems
- Ensuring compliance with FCA regulations and company procedures
- Supporting colleagues and assisting with wider office activities when required
Experience, skills and competencies required:
- Previous experience within a Commercial Insurance Account Handler or similar role
- Strong knowledge of commercial insurance products and markets
- Excellent client relationship and communication skills
- Experience dealing directly with insurers and negotiating terms
- Good IT skills and experience using insurance systems and insurer portals
- Cert CII qualified or actively working towards qualification
- Knowledge of FCA regulations and insurance compliance requirements
