We're recruiting for a Warehouse & Operations Assistant to join a busy and growing business in the manufacturing and technical sector.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining warehouse operations, stock control and production assembly.
You'll play a key part in ensuring products are accurately assembled, managed and dispatched to the highest standards.
Working closely with the Technical Director and wider team, you'll support day-to-day operations across inventory management, production assembly and order fulfilment.
- As a Warehouse & Operations Assistant, your key responsibilities will include:
- Inventory & Stock Control
- Managing inventory records and updating stock systems accurately
- Working from Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Work Orders
- Processing customer orders and supporting timely dispatch
- Monitoring stock movements and maintaining accurate records
- Production Assembly
- Assembling electrical and pneumatic components to specification
- Building and testing sub-assemblies for customer and stock requirements
- Following engineering drawings and production instructions
- Ensuring all work meets quality and safety standards
- Warehouse & Dispatch
- Picking customer orders accurately
- Packing products securely and professionally for shipment
- Preparing goods for collection and dispatch
- Maintaining a clean, organised and efficient warehouse environment
Requirements for the Warehouse & Operations Assistant
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Enjoys practical, hands-on work
- Can manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Good organisational skills
- Works well both independently and as part of a team
Salary & Benefits for the Warehouse & Operations Assistant
- £28,000
- Onsite based in Chichester
- Monday to Friday 8am to 4pm (35 hours per week)
- Full time, permanent position
- 31 days annual leave (inclusive of bank holidays)
