A well-established stockist and distributor of electrical components is seeking a Business Coordinator you will play a pivotal role in fostering strong customer connections and staying attuned to their evolving needs. As a Business Coordinator developing the ability to build strong customer relationships and stay attuned to their needs is key. This includes responding to enquiries with well-prepared quotations and negotiating effectively to secure orders that are both commercially viable and operationally feasible. When required, the role also involves supporting the processing of sales orders and handling post-sale communications, including information requests and resolving customer concerns.
Business Coordinator responsibilities:
- Handle customer quote requests received by phone, email, or through the website, and provide accurate pricing information.
- Follow up on quotes to negotiate and secure orders on terms that work well for both the customer and the business.
- Provide helpful after-sales support by quickly responding to questions or complaints and resolving them to everyoneβs satisfaction.
- Look for opportunities to grow customer accounts and share these with the sales team.
- Manage important quote opportunities by tracking progress, planning next steps, and keeping records of key customer conversations.
- Review customer orders for accuracy and hand them over to the Customer Services Team for processing.
- Learn how our products work and what benefits they offer so you can explain them clearly.
- Build strong product knowledge and maintain good working relationships with key supplier contacts, helping to promote their products.
- Request product information from suppliers when needed for customer quotes and record their responses in the system.
- Work with the Procurement team to make sure customer orders are completed smoothly.

- Good at understanding what customers really need and finding ways to meet those needs.

- Learn about products and can explain their benefits clearly in speech and writing.
- Manages time well and makes good decisions about what to focus on.
- Can use company systems and supplier websites to find useful information.
- Comfortable creating and working with documents and spreadsheets.
- Understands the industry, including key customers, suppliers, and competitors.
