Role: Interface Engineer and Configuration Engineer required on a contract basis.
Responsibilities
- Managing site-wide technical design interfaces for a design and build project, involving multiple consultancies.
- Managing & developing Digital Systems Engineering Models in line with industry best practice.
- Acting as a Checker / Approver of SparxEA models.
- Implementing and controlling new interface management policy and procedures.
- Covering, for example, production engineering, civil engineering, site services and inter-project interfaces.
- Stakeholder and design partner identification and engagement.
- Understanding relevant existing policy and procedures.
- Refining detail level operating procedures, work instructions and guidance.
- Progressing interfaces to agreement.
- Working as part of the team implementing configuration management policy and procedures, work instructions and guidance.
- Managing change to baselines.
Qualifications and Experience
- Experience of configuration management.
- Knowledge of established configuration management standards.
- Understanding of systems engineering.
- Good stakeholder management, multidisciplinary design experience.
- Engineering Degree or equivalent qualification.
- Demonstrable experience within a multidisciplinary design and build environment.
- Experience of systems engineering and interface management.
- Ability to produce clear guidance documents.
- Ability to collaborate successfully within a project and team environment, act in best interest of team.
- Ability to encourage and motivate within a project delivery environment.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to listen and provide instruction.
- Able to authoritatively represent the team to the customer and other contractors.
- Proactive commitment to health and safety.
- DOORS experience would be an asset.
- SparxEA experience would be an asset.
