About the Role
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Engineer, HSEQ to join our team in Basingstoke, UK. This role plays a pivotal part in supporting project quality activities across various high-profile energy and oil & gas design projects. You will become an integral member of the Project Quality team, providing expert guidance on quality matters and potentially taking the lead as the Project Discipline Leader on specific projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Support projects with Project Quality activities including preparation of Project Quality Plans (PQP), Invitation to Tender (ITT) packages, and Technical Bid Evaluations.
- Act as Project Discipline Leader on assigned projects, coordinating quality assurance efforts and driving continuous improvement.
- Advise and support project teams on quality assurance and control strategies, aligning with client and regulatory expectations.
- Perform internal and project-specific quality audits as a trained ISO9001 auditor (additional ISO14001/45001 training is a plus).
- Support and contribute to company-level audits when required.
- Evaluate supplier and contractor documentation during the procurement phase.
- Prepare, clarify, and close tender-related queries, and contribute to the technical bid evaluation and scoring process.
- Deliver high-quality work within schedule, ensuring compliance with various Quality Management Systems .
Skills & Experience
- Proven experience on oil and gas/energy design projects .
- Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems , with the ability to work across various frameworks.
- Trained ISO9001 auditor (ISO14001/ISO45001 a plus).
- Solid understanding of procurement-phase activities , including document evaluation and clarification handling.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools.
- Capable of working independently or collaboratively within a project team.
- HSE knowledge and experience is highly desirable.
Qualifications
- A relevant degree or higher qualification (e.g., BSc in Chemical Engineering or Process Safety ) is desirable but not mandatory if backed by significant experience.
