We are working on behalf of a leading infrastructure and engineering organisation to recruit a highly capable Senior Project Manager with extensive experience in EPC delivery. This role offers a unique opportunity to lead critical UK-based electrical infrastructure projects from concept through to commissioning. Based in London, the successful candidate will take ownership of project delivery across multidisciplinary teams with full P&L accountability. This is a high-impact role ideal for a proven leader who thrives in complex, fast-paced environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end delivery of high-profile EPC electrical infrastructure projects across the UK
- Ensure safe, timely, and compliant execution of all project phases from tendering to final handover
- Manage multidisciplinary project teams, including project managers, engineers, and site supervisors
- Take full responsibility for project P&L, financial forecasting, budget control, and cost optimisation
- Oversee contract strategy, procurement processes, and commercial negotiations
- Ensure adherence to CDM regulations, NEC/FIDIC contract frameworks, and internal governance
- Act as the primary stakeholder interface for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies
- Guide project planning, engineering design reviews, and construction execution strategies
- Monitor and track project progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation strategies
- Maintain on-site presence throughout construction and commissioning phases
- Ensure all activities align with quality, environmental, and safety standards
Candidate Requirements:
- Substantial experience managing complex EPC projects
- Strong P&L management capability with proven success in budget control and profitability
- Demonstrated leadership of cross-functional project teams across the full project lifecycle
- Excellent contract management knowledge, including NEC and FIDIC frameworks
- Skilled in procurement, stakeholder engagement, and risk mitigation
- Strong understanding of CDM regulations and construction safety standards
- Proficiency in managing engineering inputs, material schedules, and project logistics
- Experience with project management tools and methodologies specific to electrical infrastructure
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
Education & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP) is desirable
