Our Client has a requirement for a Senior Pipeline Engineer, who will be required to work on a contract basis across multiple UK locations including Epsom, London, Peterborough, Manchester, Leeds, and Glasgow. This role is in the Water industry.

Role Purpose: The Senior Pipeline Engineer will lead design teams in delivering critical water and infrastructure pipeline engineering projects. You will contribute technical excellence and innovation while driving project delivery standards, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams nationally and internationally.

Job Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead and deliver pipeline design solutions aligned with national and client-specific standards.
  • Supervise and manage a team of pipeline engineers delivering across sectors including water, aviation, energy, and defence.
  • Coordinate design work using digital tools and modelling software relevant to pipeline engineering.
  • Prepare technical scopes, briefs, and input for bid proposals and project estimates.
  • Monitor project timelines, budgets, and milestones to ensure quality and efficiency.
  • Provide input across the full lifecycle of pipeline infrastructure from design to construction phases.
  • Work closely with UK and global teams to develop integrated, innovative pipeline solutions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols and safety regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Experience / Skills / Knowledge / Qualifications:

  • Chartered Civil Engineer (essential).
  • Proven experience as a pipeline engineer delivering medium to large-scale infrastructure projects.
  • Strong knowledge of hydraulics, pipe restraint systems, jointing methods, UTX, and bedding solutions.
  • Proficiency in using digital design tools such as HADES, InfoWorks, and EPANET.
  • Ability to manage multidisciplinary teams and engage in collaborative delivery approaches.
  • Familiar with UK water industry standards and digital delivery practices.
  • Flexibility to work nationally as required across client project locations.
