Overview: Currently recruiting for a Materials Controller based in our clients Warehouse in Peterhead, this position is for a 6-12 month contract. Successful candidate must have experience of materials management systems.
Responsibilities:
- Key Objectives:
- Efficient and effective control of all materials to suit project requirements, from demand identification to final issue/consumption/disposal of goods.
- Management of all materials in accordance with relevant Company policies, procedures and project schedules.
- Management and transportation of all materials in accordance with relevant Legislative and Regulatory procedures, ensuring full compliance.
- Primary Duties:
- Work in accordance with project material management and trade compliance plan.
- Assists development and implementation of Material Management Procedures and periodic review as part of Continuous Business Improvement.
- Work with material demand streams to ensure commodity coding process is compliant with business requirements.
- Ensure materials database and project reporting tools are fully updated.
- Utilise established material management tools and systems to provide material status during planning, execution and post-execution phases of contracts.
- Fully manage goods receipt process, liaison with QA/QC Inspection as defined to secure specified release steps if applicable.
- Ownership for the Investigation and resolution of any overage, shortage and damage.
