Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer
Initial 12 Month Contract – Ongoing scope of work

A Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer is required to work on a long term contract basis that will be outside IR35 and will offer the flexibility to work fully remotely.
A Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer is required to support the companies worldwide offshore deepwater projects.
They will support all the engineering activities related to unbonded flexible pipe activities in the different phases of the project, from feasibility to Basic/FEED and along the execution phase for the several new upcoming or ongoing initiatives within the company. Their responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
- To prepare and complete large EPCI contracts for Offshore Projects for unbonded flexible pipes systems in all the Project phases (Feasibility & Conceptual Study, Front End Engineering Design, Call For Tender, Engineering, Procurement, Fabrication, Testing, Installation, Commissioning)
- To ensure that the design of unbonded flexible pipes systems meet Project requirements, applicable codes and standards, and engineering best practices.
- As the Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer, you will prepare all the technical documentation related to unbonded flexible pipes during the different phases of the Project, such as Conceptual Study, FEED, Tender and Contract package preparation.
- To follow up supplier call for tender & selection (qualifications, clarifications, recommendations, etc.).
- To review and approve FEED, tender and Detailed Engineering performed by Contractors.
- As the Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer, you will stay aware of design standards requirements for unbonded flexible pipes and correct application of Company HSEQ policies.
Required experience/qualifications
- As the Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer, you will have extensive experience as a Flexible Pipe Engineer throughout the various phases of project development (from concept development to execution) and handover to operations.
- Experience in the technical design of unbonded flexible flowlines & risers and associated ancillaries from preliminary engineering through detailed design, with knowledge of the main topsides, subsea and installation interfaces.
- Experience with Design and Safety Reviews, HAZOP, HAZID’s, Risk Assessment.
- As the Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer, you will have experience in being able to support Projects onshore and offshore testing– FAT, SIT and pre-commissioning/ installation/commissioning activities.
- Familiar with the relevant international codes and subsea standards for Flexible pipes, in particular API 17J, API 17L1, API 17B, and API17K.
- Proficient usage of the Office Software (MS Office).
- Basic knowledge of AutoCad.
- As the Senior Flexible Pipe Engineer, you will have knowledge of Mechanical Finite Analysis software (i.e. Ansys, Abaqus, Cosmosworks).
- Knowledge of Dynamic analysis software (i.e. Orcaflex).
- Experience with bonded flexible pipe technology would be an advantage for this position.
