Environmental Advisor - (Contract – Outside IR35)

Hybrid | Kingston-based (occasional travel to Teesside)

Start Date: ASAP

Full-time | Long-term contract | Outside IR35

We’re working with a major engineering and project delivery organisation to support the recruitment of an experienced Environmental Advisor. This is a great opportunity to play a key role on a high-profile energy infrastructure project, with responsibilities spanning both onshore and offshore environments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain the Construction Environmental Management Plan for onshore and offshore scopes
  • Ensure subcontractor compliance with all environmental requirements and regulations
  • Oversee and guide the Environmental Coordinator
  • Act as a key interface with the client, local authorities, regulatory bodies and other stakeholders
  • Carry out core environmental project activities including ENVIDs, environmental planning, data reporting and investigations
  • Conduct site audits, inspections, training sessions, and compile detailed reports
  • Support internal teams with compliance strategy and environmental performance metrics
Ideal Candidate
  • Degree-qualified in Environmental Science, Engineering or a related discipline
  • Minimum 10 years’ experience delivering environmental support across both onshore and offshore energy or infrastructure projects
  • Certified ISO 14001 Lead Auditor
  • Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to interface confidently with both internal and external stakeholders
