New Job Opportunity - Quality Engineer - up to 2 years of work - Argyll Scotland
Contract: up to 2 years
Hybrid: 3 days office, 2 days home
Immediate start required
The Quality Engineer will provide Quality Assurance (QA) and Quality Control (QC) support to the Client's Project Team, ensuring right-first-time delivery and compliance across all project activities.
- Provide QA/QC support and expertise to the project team
- Support the identification and flow-down of Our clients quality requirements to the supply chain
- Collaborate with DIO and supplier quality teams to ensure lessons learned are captured and shared
- Support Project Management and Functional Leads in establishing project procedures, processes and plans
- Attend Our Client’s Site regularly to plan and manage on-site inspections and surveillance activities
- Conduct internal quality audits, supplier audits and health checks
- Monitor quality performance against KPIs and identify improvement areas
- Oversee supplier installation, manufacturing, FATs, SATs and release inspections
- Conduct investigations and root cause analysis
- Coordinate Lifetime Quality Records and final document packs
- Liaise with Third Party Representatives and Government Quality Assurance Representatives (GQARs)
- Additional responsibilities may be introduced as the project develops.
Strong understanding and implementation of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management Systems
Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Quality Engineering delivery role within a highly regulated or high-integrity industry such as:
- Nuclear
- Oil & Gas
- Pharmaceutical
Experience working across multiple projects and technical disciplines
Strong report writing skills
Understanding of Nuclear/Defence environments
Knowledge of nuclear compliance, legislation and Our Clients quality requirements including AQAP 2110 / 2105
QUALIFICATIONS & TRAINING
HNC Level 4 or above in an engineering discipline, or equivalent experience
Industry-recognised NDE/NDT qualification such as:
