Project Solutions Manager – Water Sector Infrastructure
Location: Peterborough (Hybrid Working)

A leading provider in the UK water sector is seeking a highly skilled Project Solutions Manager to support delivery on a long-term framework with Anglian Water. This is an exceptional opportunity to play a key role in shaping innovative, sustainable infrastructure projects in the East of England.

The successful candidate will lead the early-stage development of project solutions, focusing on outcome-driven design to reduce carbon, enhance natural capital, and integrate emerging technologies. This role will be central to delivering resilient water and wastewater treatment solutions that meet environmental and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the initial optioneering and front-end planning of water and wastewater treatment projects.

  • Develop comprehensive engineering plans addressing scope, cost, schedule, risk, and resource requirements.

  • Coordinate with multi-disciplinary teams and external suppliers to produce integrated, buildable solutions.

  • Promote sustainability and innovation across the full design lifecycle.

  • Ensure all designs meet CDM regulations, safety, and operational standards.

  • Collaborate effectively with project managers, planners, procurement, and construction teams.

  • Manage project reviews and quality assurance processes.

  • Mentor and support the ongoing development of junior team members.

Candidate Profile:

  • Degree-qualified in engineering or equivalent practical experience (chartered status or working towards it preferred).

  • Proven experience leading multi-disciplinary teams within the infrastructure or water sector.

  • Strong understanding of sustainable design and a passion for innovation.

  • Familiarity with CDM regulations and a commitment to embedding health and safety in design practices.

  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage stakeholders at all levels.

  • Collaborative leadership style with a proactive, solution-focused approach.
