About the Role

We are looking to strengthen our SHEQ team with the appointment of a Quality Advisor to support construction projects across the United Utilities region, based at Hattersley Wastewater Site. Reporting to the Senior Quality Advisor, you will provide on-site quality support across multiple projects, ensuring compliance with company procedures, client requirements, and relevant legal standards. This is a key role in promoting a positive quality culture and driving continuous improvement throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and execute the internal quality audit programme in conjunction with the Regional Quality Lead.
  • Provide support to ensure all project quality documentation is completed, compliant, and retained in line with company procedures, legal requirements, and client standards.
  • Monitor and support onsite installation standards in line with company and client specifications.
  • Assist in managing and developing the Integrated Management System (IMS), promoting a Lean approach across the business.
  • Support the development and improvement of processes, forms, guidance, and associated documentation.
  • Conduct quality investigations and root cause analysis, implementing effective corrective and preventative actions.
  • Support the SHEQ team in producing communications and delivering classroom training on quality-related topics.
  • Promote internal quality systems and embed understanding of IMS requirements and benefits across the business.
  • Encourage a positive quality culture, continuous improvement, and knowledge sharing.
  • Maintain ongoing professional development to stay current with industry standards and innovations.
  • Present a professional and positive image of the business in all internal and external interactions.
  • Maintain confidentiality and uphold company values at all times.

About You

  • Previous experience as a Quality Advisor within a construction environment.
  • Internal QMS Auditor (IRCA or equivalent).
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel within the United Utilities region.
  • Experience within the water or wastewater industry.
  • EUSR SHEA Water card.
  • PCQI membership.
