We are seeking an experienced Lead Electrical Engineer to support a major Nuclear FEED project.
Recent Nuclear Electrical Engineering experience is essential. The successful candidate will lead the electrical scope, providing technical leadership, coordinating deliverables, and ensuring compliance with project, client, and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery & Leadership
- Lead delivery of the electrical scope.
- Manage schedules, MDRs, change control, and project reporting.
- Lead technical meetings and supervise the electrical engineering team.
- Support project estimates and CTR development.
- Electrical Design & Engineering
- Prepare and review key electrical deliverables, including:
- Basis of Design
- Power System Studies
- Earthing & Lightning Protection Calculations
- Load Schedules
- Equipment Specifications & Datasheets
- Single Line Diagrams (SLDs)
- Cable Schedules
- Schematics and Layout Drawings
- Procurement & Installation Support
- Prepare equipment requisitions and technical bid evaluations.
- Support procurement of HV/LV equipment, transformers, motors, UPS systems, lighting, and associated electrical systems.
- Prepare installation scopes of work.
- Support site teams and liaise with DNOs and key stakeholders.

Qualifications
Essential
- Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Control Engineering, or related discipline.
- Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or working towards professional registration.
Technical Experience
Essential
- Recent Nuclear Electrical Engineering experience.
- Strong electrical design and installation knowledge.
- Extensive experience within Nuclear or other highly regulated industries.
- Experience with HV/LV systems and Building Services design.
- Knowledge of UK legislation, standards, and CE Marking requirements, including ATEX, PED, Low Voltage Directive, Machinery Directive, and EMC Compliance.
- Understanding of risk management and HSE requirements.
