Managing Quantity Surveyor Location: Warrington Negotiable Salary Permanent, Hybrid Are you a forward-thinking and passionate Managing Quantity Surveyor with expertise in large-scale Construction, Design, and Management projects? A global leading industrial automation company is seeking an experienced Managing Quantity Surveyor to join their Project Management Office (PMO) team, where you will play a pivotal role in driving project success while safeguarding our commercial interests. Reporting to the Senior Project Manager, you will act as the primary commercial and contractual focal point for projects. Your responsibilities will include leading the commercial aspects of projects, ensuring financial performance, maintaining contractual compliance, and managing procurement. You will oversee the Quantity Surveyors, providing governance, consistency, and expert guidance across assigned projects. This Managing Quantity Surveyor role offers the opportunity to work on diverse projects, from managing multi-million-pound initiatives to overseeing several smaller ventures, while ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and with maximum profitability. Key Responsibilities: Managing Quantity Surveyor Lead all commercial aspects of allocated projects, including risk and opportunity management. Drive procurement strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness and timely delivery. Provide financial performance reports, including forecasting, cash flow, and profit/loss statements. Manage client and subcontractor accounts through to finalisation, ensuring value engineering. Collaborate with operational teams to maximise project efficiency and profitability. Develop and implement a commercial strategy aligned with company goals. Support change management processes to maintain project compliance and governance. Key Requirements: Managing Quantity Surveyor Proven experience in a similar role within Construction, Design, and Management (CDM) projects, ideally EPC with electrical, mechanical, and civil scope. Expertise in NEC4 contracts (Options A, C, and E) and bespoke forms of contracts. Strong understanding of ISO 9001, CDM15, and Health & Safety at Work standards. Degree qualification (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline is preferred. Experience managing projects up to £50 million or multiple smaller projects. Excellent knowledge of construction industry practices, including procurement routes, value management, and cost monitoring. Full UK driving licence.
