As a Technical Assurance Auditor at HS2 you'll be responsible for ensuring that Technical Assurance Reviews (TARs) are carried out across the Integrated Project Teams (IPTs), and other Supply Chain members, to confirm that HS2 technical assurance, and other processes, are adhered to and achieved. In addition, you'll also ensure the Technical Assurance Review process is carried out in a consistent way across all contracts and provide feedback to process owners. In this role, you will monitor the achievement of the IPTs, and other Contractors', Management Systems.

About the role:
- Creating the TAR HORACE references and preparing the HORACE files, including the Question Sets for the TAR Processes;
- Managing the preparation of the TAR HORACE files and issue of the HORACE references to the Contractors and HS2 Ltd TAR attendees;
- Management, preparation and maintenance of the annual TAR Programme;
- Management and Chairing of the TARs, determination and recording of Best Practices (BP), Opportunities for Improvement (OFIs) and Non-Conformities (N/Cs) and preparation of TAR report and findings in HORACE;
- Update of the associated TAR Findings Registers and other supporting TAR documentation;
- To be responsible for ensuring consistent application of technical assurance auditing processes and question sets across delivery;
- To be accountable for owning and presenting data-based reporting on IPT, and Contractors', review performance and TAR Findings close out;
- To be responsible for ensuring that Technical Assurance Review activities are targeted and planned appropriately with risk and performance;
- To be accountable for supporting the feedback loop into HS2 technical processes and coordinate with policy owners to ensure HS2 technical processes are always fit for purpose;
- To have responsibility for promoting cross-function collaboration across HS2 e.g. Railway Systems, Building Information Modelling Configuration, Requirements, Project Management, etc.;
- Actively promote and embed Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures in EDI;
- Maintenance and update of the TAR Power BI Dashboard and consideration of associated Trend Analysis to achieve Project Wide improvements.
- Development and improvement of Processes.
- Liaison and co-ordination between HS2 Ltd and Contractors.
- Knowledge of Railway Systems Technical Assurance principles including, but not limited to, interface, configuration, assumptions & risk management, quality, environmental, health & safety, change control, BIM, consents etc.
- Principal / Lead Auditor certified with IRCA e.g. ISO 9001:2015 Quality standard. Principal / Lead Auditor certified with IRCA e.g. ISO14001:2015 Environmental and ISO45001:2018 would also assist.
- Experience of managing and implementing quality / environmental / health & safety and assurance principles, systems and frameworks on large scale infrastructural projects.
- Experience of multi-discipline programmes incl. civils, M&E, architecture, rail systems, rolling stock.
- Experience in Artifical Intellegence (AI) with the knowledge and competency to develop and maintain AI support for the TAR Process.
