The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

An initial 12-month contract for a Tax Accountant is available in Aberdeen, offering hybrid working of 3 days per week in the office and 2 days per week working from home. The role is inside IR35 - PAYE/UMBRELLA.

The Tax Accountant will be responsible for providing UK tax advice to the business and supporting the wider UKBU tax team as required.

Critical Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that all activities are carried out in a safe manner complying with all regulatory requirements, legislation, and company HSEQ procedures.
Areas of Accountability, Responsibility and Competence Level:
  • Provision of UK tax advice to support the business.
  • Provision of transaction structuring support and due diligence support for UK new business opportunities.
  • Support development and maintenance of tax process and procedures documentation.
  • Research legislative changes and selected tax technical matters as required.
  • Work across the wider UKBU tax team supporting as required.
  • Any other reasonable duty as per instruction by your manager.
Critical Skills Qualifications Experience:
  • Experience in a relevant corporate or accountancy firm environment.
  • A professional taxation or accounting qualification with a track record of relevant experience, such as ACA, ACCA, CIMA, AAT, or ATT.
  • Upstream Corporation Tax and PRT experience required.
  • Strong analytical ability and attention to detail.
  • Highly numerate with an understanding of complex accounting issues.
  • Effective communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of UK Upstream tax software desirable, along with knowledge of SAP (preferable) and strong Excel skills.
