The predicted salary is between 48000 - 72000 £ per year.
2/2 rotations – Offshore from Great Yarmouth. A Senior Structural Designer is required to work primarily offshore on barge campaigns to Southern North Sea and Dutch sector assets, on a variety of brownfield modifications and integrity related repairs. You will be working on a 2/2 rotation with the possibility of some onshore working days. You will be required to have experience of 2D/3D AutoCAD as well as PDMS software, ideally E3D.
Scope of Services
- Carry out engineering survey of structural elements identified as requiring replacement or repair;
- Provide engineering sketches for reinforcement/replacement/modification of steelwork in accordance with standards;
- Report progress to barge supervisor and participate in weekly progress meetings;
- Coordinate with material coordinator to order required supply of loose material for offshore fabrication;
- Raise site queries to ensure visibility by all team members of scope growth;
- Provide support as required for other disciplines, mechanical & piping, rigging, E&I, etc.;
- Issue signed off sketches/drawings to Shell DCC;
- Ensure scopes are executed offshore in accordance with the design drawings;
- Provide technical expertise for the structural design of new infrastructure and modifications to existing infrastructure for the energy sector;
- Interface with other disciplines, clients and third parties on emerging issues;
- Compliance with company engineering procedures, industry, international and client codes and standards;
- Ensure that all work complies with the Contract Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality policies and procedures as appropriate;
- Survey reports;
- Input to project execution plans;
- Presentations, sketches, etc. to assist in scope communications.

- Structural general arrangement drawings;
- Structural destruct drawings;
- Installation methodology drawings/documents;
- Survey reports;
- Experience of structural design calculations;
- Structural design and analysis reports;
- Requisition (including SDRL);
- Weight control reports;
- Experience within the Oil & Gas or Petrochemical Industry is ideal;
- Suitable design experience within other engineering industries will be considered where appropriate.
