Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic Construction Manager to join our team in London & Guildford, with flexible hybrid working options, to lead a key water project. You will drive innovative construction activities, ensure Health, Safety, and quality compliance, and make a real impact on a vital water infrastructure initiative. Key Responsibilities
- Lead and inspire site construction teams to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to specification.
- Manage supplier performance across Safety, Time, and Quality, ensuring compliance and excellence.
- Take the lead in Constructability Reviews, Project Rehearsals, and Fit-for-Assembly sign-offs to drive innovation.
- Champion sustainability initiatives, aiming for zero waste and reduced embodied carbon.
- Ensure contractual and commercial notices are raised promptly to keep projects on track.
- Plan resources effectively – labour, plant, and materials.
- Foster a safe and empowered team environment where Health & Safety comes first.
About You – The Ideal Construction Manager
- Degree or equivalent qualification in a construction-related discipline.
- Temporary Works Experience/Qualification and proven project management experience.
- Extensive experience in delivering large-scale water or construction programmes.
- Knowledge of CDM regulations and construction Health & Safety practices.
- Strong communicator with the ability to work closely with clients, end-users, and multi-disciplinary teams.
- Delivery-driven, commercially astute, and able to motivate your team to meet ambitious targets.
