We are seeking a Civil Field Engineer to oversee and assure the quality of civil activities on a major infrastructure project. The successful candidate will ensure all civil works are executed in line with National Grid technical specifications, project requirements, and industry best practice.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor and verify civil construction works on site to ensure compliance with design, specifications, and National Grid standards.
- Conduct inspections, quality checks, and ensure that all documentation meets project quality requirements.
- Liaise with contractors, site management, and quality teams to resolve technical issues promptly.
- Review and approve civil engineering documentation including method statements, ITPs, and test results.
- Support safe delivery of all site activities in accordance with HSE standards and project procedures.
- Report progress, non-conformances, and quality observations to the Project Manager and Quality Lead.
- Qualified in civil engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledgeable in National Grid technical specifications
- Proficient in setting out using Total Station
- Competent in managing quality control on site
