Our top client is looking for an Architect / Architectural Technologist to join their team in London / Epsom / Birmingham / Exeter. Our Client has a requirement for an Architect / Architectural Technologist, who will be required to work on a contract basis in London / Epsom / Birmingham / Exeter.
Role Purpose:
- We are looking to recruit an Architect, to further expand our Building Design teams in various locations. This opportunity would ideally suit someone looking to work in a multi-disciplinary collaborative environment where they will be given the opportunity to work on a variety of projects and to take real responsibility throughout the full design lifecycle.
- Our teams work on several projects across sectors including Nuclear, energy, defence, rail and aviation. Our breadth of work across these sectors means there are plenty of opportunities to gain vast amounts of experience as well as offering the opportunity to find your niche!

Job Role Responsibilities:
- The ideal candidate will have a RIBA Part 3 qualification or CIAT accreditation with demonstrable experience on a wide range of complex projects at different stages with a good understanding of the UK Building Regulations.
- Experience should range across different sectors, working directly with the client, contractor and multi-disciplinary design teams.
- Experience in Transportation specifically Rail projects, Commercial and Public sector building preferably.
- The desired individual will understand the design process and can deliver this from concept into detail design, understanding how to identify and design key details, through to completion.
- Understanding detail for compliance requirements e.g., Network Rail assurance process building regulations and working knowledge of UK Building Systems, Regulations and construction types will be required for this role.
- We are looking for individuals who can consistently contribute to the successful delivery of projects with varying levels of complexity and ranging in size from small, medium and large-scale. Consistency and accuracy in all work produced is highly desired for this role.
- The candidate for this role will be required to take responsibility for specific roles, areas or packages of work within a project and recognize the importance of the project budget and seek to develop their knowledge of project finances.
- The personal qualities required from the applying candidate should demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, organised and efficient with attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively, efficiently under pressure and to tight deadlines.
- Flexible approach to working with a positive and 'can-do' attitude, self-motivated and committed individuals who can be both clear thinkers but have the willingness to be a strong team player and support the Studio lead.
- Highly skilled and passionate designer committed to deliver design excellence at all stages of the design and construction process.
- Understanding of the design process, and ability to deliver this from concept and planning application through construction and completion.
- Be proficient in using design software, specifically looking for experience with Bentley / Open Building Designer, Revit, Adobe suite, Enscape or V-Ray and AutoCad.
- Understanding and working knowledge of UK Building Regulations, understanding of NBS specification and construction methodologies will be required for this role.
- We are looking for individuals who can consistently contribute to the successful delivery of complex, small, medium, and large-scale projects.
- The candidate for this role will be required to take responsibility for specific roles, areas or packages of work within a project and recognise the importance of the project budget and programme. The individual should seek to develop their knowledge of project financials.
- The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience in preparing high quality written design deliverables and in preparing and giving presentations to clients and stakeholders.
- The ideal candidate will have experience of understanding and leading multidisciplinary design work, including managing and coordinating specialist designers and consultants where appropriate.
- We are looking for an enthusiastic new member to work with our existing team.
- Be engaged in the successful delivery of secured projects.
