My client is seeking an HV Transmission Engineering Lead to manage electrical engineering delivery for major UK transmission projects supporting National Grid programmes.
You will lead engineering design teams, working across disciplines, stakeholders and supply chain partners throughout the project lifecycle from tendering through to construction and handover.
Key Responsibilities- Lead delivery of electrical engineering design across HV Transmission projects.
- Act as main interface between engineering teams, stakeholders and suppliers.
- Manage design progress, risks, budgets and programme performance.
- Forecast and manage engineering resource requirements.
- Ensure technical compliance, quality assurance and regulatory standards are met.
- Support bids and business development opportunities.
- Promote safety in design, continuous improvement and effective change management.
- Proven HV Transmission engineering delivery experience.
- Recent experience on National Grid substation or transmission projects.
- Experience managing engineering teams, budgets and programmes.
- Strong knowledge of multi-discipline engineering interfaces.
- Experience managing third-party designers and subcontractors.
- Degree in Engineering or relevant discipline.
- Chartered Engineer status (or working towards).
