The predicted salary is between 55000 - 66000 £ per year.

Location: London

Duration: 12 Month contract

Rate: £275 per day PAYE

Purpose of the Role

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) will provide proactive HR support across designated business areas, applying a broad range of HR knowledge, tools and practices to support business performance. The role is responsible for developing and implementing effective HR procedures and people initiatives that contribute to a high-performing and engaged workforce.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all activities are carried out safely and in compliance with all relevant legislation, regulatory requirements and Harbour Energy HSES procedures.
  • Ensure all activities and behaviours are conducted in accordance with Harbour Energy’s Ethics and Compliance Policies and Procedures.
  • Complete all mandatory compliance training as required.
  • Provide professional HR guidance and support to managers, supervisors and employees.
  • Support managers in disciplinary, grievance and employee relations matters, providing practical advice and guidance.
  • Research and draft responses relating to industrial and employee relations issues, liaising with external legal counsel where appropriate.
  • Assist in developing and implementing HR procedures, processes and documentation, ensuring timely communication and compliance.
  • Drive initiatives that enhance employee engagement, wellbeing and retention.
  • Build and maintain strong working relationships across the business and with external stakeholders.
  • Deliver recruitment activities in line with workforce planning and budget requirements.
  • Support the Senior Manager – Total Reward in the preparation and management of the People Budget.
  • Contribute to the digitisation and continuous improvement of HR systems and information management.
  • Provide support across the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, family-friendly policies and general HR administration.
  • Support reward and recognition initiatives, both annual and ad hoc.
  • Assist with talent management, succession planning and employee development activities.
  • Support the performance management process across the business.
  • Promote diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives aligned with Harbour Energy’s values and behaviours.
  • Assist in educating and guiding line managers on current employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Maintain HR content on the HR Intranet and Business Management System.
  • Provide mentoring and guidance to HR Coordinator team members.
  • Support the maintenance of employee records and preparation of HR reports.
  • Prepare and provide data for HR audits, ensuring accuracy and process compliance.
  • Undertake any other duties appropriate to the role and level of responsibility.

Skills, Qualifications & Experience

  • Demonstrable experience operating in a generalist HR role, including recruitment responsibilities.
  • Experience supporting organisational change and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong change management, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Degree-qualified HR professional; CIPD qualification or affiliation desirable.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment legislation and HR best practice.
  • Commitment to continuous personal and professional development.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and influence stakeholders at all levels, including senior leadership.
  • Ability to think strategically and understand the wider business impact of HR decisions within a complex and evolving industry.
  • Strong advisory and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional and credible approach consistent with Harbour Energy standards.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, producing accurate and high-quality work.
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise effectively and demonstrate personal accountability.
  • Aware of Safety and Environmental Critical Roles.
