Location: Leatherhead (4 days office / 1 day remote)

Duration: 3 Month Contract

Rate: £58 ltd per hour

Role Overview

As a Technical Advisor - Offshore structural, you will report to the lead and be responsible for independently performing the following analysis using SACS software:

  • In-service strength
  • Wave Induced Spectral Fatigue
  • Seismic
  • Transportation strength and Fatigue
  • Push over and RSR – Nonlinear Advanced Collapse Module of SACS
  • Boat Impact & Boat Landing Analysis using SACS Collapse Module
  • Mating
  • Loadout
  • Lift
  • Mudmat and on-bottom stability checks

Further, the scope involves preparing/checking design reports, providing inputs to the design team / checking 3D model & drawings etc. The work will involve liaising with other disciplines, the client and 3rd party contractors and coordinating and working with project team members across global offices to deliver the tasks within allotted timelines and budgets.

EXPERIENCE

  • Degree in Structural Engineering Design
  • Minimum experience of 15 years, having excellent technical and practical engineering skills and able to consistently deliver on quality and schedule.
  • Proficient user of SACS suite of software a prerequisite.
  • In-depth knowledge of the latest revisions of offshore design codes such as ISO 19901 & API codes, is a must.
  • Work efficiently and effectively when managing multiple tasks
  • Work both independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
